One of my favorite ways to spend a day is to visit the used bookstore in the Kota Lama area. Looking for hidden gem of wisdom amidst the stacks of torn paperbacks and old hardcovers that had long been separated from their dust jackets. In new bookstores, you pretty much know what you’re going to find: what’s new and what’s enduringly popular. In used bookstores, you never know what you’re going to find.

Nonetheless, used bookstores are magical.  When you find something really cool in a used bookstore, it feels like God or the universe or whatever put it there just for you.

You have to go there, it is interesting. It is located at Dorang street 7.  The street by itself is nothing special. But look for No 7 and enter into the blue building. You will see bizarre paintings on the walls. There is a staircase leading up to the bookstore and there it is! – books, boxes of books, books on the tables, books on the floor, everywhere.

Enjoy the Bohemian atmosphere. It is a place worth of a visit. It is a small bookstore with a welcoming atmosphere where you can sit and read. They have a plethora of books on a variety of topics.

Going into this bookstore is like a treasure hunt. It’s fun just to browse around and see what you can find.
